Good prices on En Primeur, solid service
got a decent deal on some 2022 Bordeaux En Primeur through their allocations, which is where the real value is with Corney & Barrow. their Italian wine selection is pretty good too, found a lovely Barolo. my only tiny nitpick is sometimes navigating the website for professional cellarage info isn't super straightforward, but customer service was helpful when i called. overall a good experience. ๐
solid for serious wine lovers
anyone else use Corney & Barrow for En Primeur? I was looking at some Bordeaux futures, like the Chรขteau Lรฉoville Barton, and it's definitely a different ballgame than just grabbing a mixed case. you're really betting on future value, which is cool, but it's not a quick saving like a 10% off coupon you'd find for Laithwaites. the volume discounts are where it's at here, just different from what i'm used to.
Got some nice Champagne
I decided to splurge on some Champagne for a get-together, so I ordered a couple of bottles. The site was pretty easy to use, found what I wanted without much fuss. It shipped pretty fast, got here in about 4 days. The packaging was really good, no worries about anything breaking. The Champagne was delicious, everyone liked it. Happy with how it all turned out.
Consistently good service
This is my third time ordering from Corney & Barrow, and they're always consistent. This time I got a few bottles of Rioja. The ordering process was smooth, just like before. Delivery was prompt, arriving in about 4 days, similar to my previous orders. I keep coming back because their selection of Spanish and Italian wines is reliable, and I've never had a problem with any of the bottles. It's nice to know what to expect.
Good value for a nice Burgundy
I was looking for a decent Burgundy without breaking the bank and found a Gevrey-Chambertin on their site. The case discount made it a pretty good deal compared to other places I checked. Shipping was free because I hit the minimum. It felt like a solid purchase, worth the money for sure.
Solid experience, minor delivery hiccup
I bought a mixed case of Italian Wine, mostly Super Tuscans, to try some new things. The selection was good, and the website was easy enough to navigate. The wines arrived intact, which is always a plus for glass bottles. Delivery took about 5 days to reach me in California, which was a bit longer than I hoped, but not terrible. Everything was well-packaged though. I appreciate that they offer a range of price points even for fine wines. Overall, a positive experience, but quicker delivery would be nice.
